Air Force Airman Cory R. Mock has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, according to an Air Force news release. 

Mock completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills, the release says.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate's degree in applied sciences through the Community College of the Air Force.

Mock is the son of Terri Mock of Thorn Bridge Drive in Powder Springs and Denver Mock of Clarkdale Drive in Acworth, the release says.

Mock graduated from McEachern High School in 2009.
