Britaini Blackmon, who took over the Book Worm Bookstore at the start of the year, is set to host an open house at the downtown Powder Springs business from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Here's the schedule of events:

• 11 a.m.—Open, with sales throughout the day.
• 11:15-noon—Children's story circle, which is an introduction to the children's story hour the store will be offering on Monday mornings starting in June.
• Noon-1 p.m.—Reading and signing with author Lynn Hubbard.
• 1-2 p.m.—Dr. Annette Laing will give a brief interactive history presentation to coincide with a reading from her young adult books, Don't Know Where, Don't Know When and A Different Day, A Different Destiny.
• 2-2:45 p.m.—Children's story circle.
• 2:45-3:45 p.m.—Elysabeth Williams will be reading and signing the first novel in her new series The Electrifying Exploits of the English Three.
