Branson Wood Dies at 89

Visitation is set for today from 6 to 8 p.m.

 

Branson E. Wood, an 89-year-old Powder Springs resident, passed away on Thursday.

Visitation will be at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory today from 6 to 8 p.m., according to his obituary

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday at Powder Springs First United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Ashe officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs Cemetery.

A life-long resident of Powder Springs, Wood was a retired teacher with Douglas County High School. He was also a veteran of the Army and a member of Powder Springs First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his nieces and nephew, Janice Henderson of Douglasville, Alison Payne of Carrollton, Dan Rowe of Roopville, GA, and Diane Tucker of Washington D.C.
