1. BLOCKBUSTER CLOSING 

Deal: Blockbuster is offering deep discounts on everything left in the store—and there are more than just DVDs. Several items in various categories were still available as of Monday night. On the high end, new videos are discounted by 30 percent. Most DVDs are selling for $3.99. Soft drinks, boxed candy, popcorn, lollilops and toys are also for sale. Sale guidelines include no checks, no returns, no rentals and all sales final.

2. SEVEN SPRINGS MUSEUM

Deal: In observance of Black History Month, the museum is offering free admission. The museum contains an award-winning permanent exhibit on the history of the city's African-American community that was known as "The Hill and The Flat." The Georgia Historical Records Advisory Board gave its 2009 Award for Excellence in Archival Program Development to the museum and the Center of Public History at the University of West Georgia for its display, including an oral history project. Heavily damaged during the September 2009 flood, the city-owned museum has been restored to state-of-the-art quality.

3. TEA AT SEVEN SPRINGS

Deal: Free tea and scones are served during the Tuesday morning ladies' Bible study. Every third Thursday, a themed Ladies' Night Out is available with reservations for $12 to $15. Children's dress-up tea parties and other special events are available by reservation.
