Expect More Strong Winds Today, West Cobb

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory through Wednesday night.

The National Weather Service on Tuesday put out a wind advisory that is expected to last until 7 p.m. today.

Expect winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph. Small trees in saturated soils and drought-stressed trees may be toppled. If you are driving a high-profile vehicle such as a minivan or SUV, expect driving to become hazardous in these gusts.

Today’s NWS forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high temp near 47. The mercury will dip to about 30 or so in the evening under mostly clear skies, with the winds slowing down to 5 to 15 mph with gusts as high as 20 mph.
