Harrison High Senior Accused of Posting Nude Photos to Porn Sites

He was arrested Wednesday about 2 p.m.

Authorities are investigating a Harrison High student who allegedly posted naked photos of at least eight children on pornographic websites, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

Michael William Cook of Acworth was arrested about 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harrison, where he is a senior, according to online jail records.

He is being held without bond in the Cobb County jail on various felony charges, including seven counts of cruelty to children in the first degree and one count of distribution of child pornography.

Between Nov. 1, 2012, and Jan. 1, at a home in the 1200 block of Eldon Pointe NW, Cook allegedly posted to pornographic websites "naked" or "erotic" photos of people that he obtained through fraudulent means.

The children depicted in the images are all under the age of 18, records show. One was 14 years old at the time the photo was taken. The children attend "several high schools," according to WSB-TV.

In all, there are at least eight victims, according to a criminal warrant.

But Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce said this afternoon that the department is "going to continue to look for other victims that may be involved in this case.

"This is an active, ongoing investigation."
