On the strength of 18 points from Celina Rodrigo, the Hillgrove Lady Hawks beat the Luella Lady Lions in the first round of the Class-AAAAA state tournament on Friday, 73-50.

Larryqua Hall added 17 points and freshman Mackenzie Engram scored 13 to help Hillgrove advance into the second round.
