The Hillgrove Hawks wasted no time in setting the offensive tone in their home-opening game with the visiting Marietta Blue Devils. The Hawks marched down the field with the opening kickoff to score, with Richardre Bagley running the ball in for a touchdown.

The Hawks then turned to Kenyan Drake. The Alabama-bound senior running back scored touchdowns on runs, a pass reception, and a kickoff return in the first half.

By the end of that first half, Hillgrove had put up 41 points to Marietta's six. The Blue Devils' only score came on quarterback Anthony Jennings' diving touchdown in the second quarter.

Hillgrove cruised to a 48-8 win over the Blue Devils.

Hillgrove (2-0) plays at North Forsyth next Friday. Marietta (0-2) plays at McEachern (2-0), also on Friday.
