Hinojosa To Meet with Public Monday

And later on in the week, seven schools in Powder Springs and Lithia Springs will be hosting their graduations.

 

1. Meet the New Cobb Superintendent. Michael Hinojosa, who was named Cobb County's next superintendent this past week, will be meeting with the public on Monday at 3:45 p.m. at Campbell High School's media center. 

2. Graduations. Seven schools in Powder Springs and Lithia Springs—Colonial Hills Christian, Hillgrove, Lithia Christian, Lithia Springs, McEachern, Praise Academy, and Trinity Chapel—are set to host their graduations this week. For schedules and senior-class sizes, click here.

3. Weather. The forecast from the National Weather Service shows clear skies on Monday and Tuesday but chances for rain through Saturday.

  • Monday—Mostly sunny. High: 92/High: 65
  • Tuesday—Mostly sunny. High: 91/Low: 63
  • Wednesday—20 percent chance for rain. High: 87/Low: 63
  • Thursday—40 percent chance for rain. High: 81/Low: 62
  • Friday—Between 20 and 30 percent chance for rain. High: 84/Low: 60
  • Saturday—20 percent chance for rain. High: 79

4. Cobb County Board of Commissioners. The board is scheduled to have a work session on Monday at 9 a.m. at 100 Cherokee St. in Marietta. The board will have another work session on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.  at the same location, followed by its regular meeting at 7. The Tuesday work session's agenda is attached to this article.

5. Powder Springs Farmers Market. The market, set to begin for the season on June 2, is still accepting applications from potential vendors. To find out more, click here.
