Kenyan Drake ran for another touchdown Saturday in the Crimson Tide's 38-7 win over Mississippi State, marking the fifth time he's been in the endzone as a freshman.
Among backs and receivers, that total is tied with freshman receiver Amari Cooper and behind only the seven each from fellow running backs Eddie Lacy, a junior, and T.J. Yeldon, a freshman.
Drake has done it on 29 carries for 206 yards, an average of 7.1 a carry. His longest of the five touchdowns was from 32 yards out.
Alabama (8-0, 5-0 in SEC) remains at No. 1 in the AP Top 25, in front of No. 2 Oregon and No. 3 Kansas State. The Crimson Tide will head to Baton Rouge this weekend to face LSU.
Carrying the Hillgrove High offense to an 11-1 season in 2011 and earning Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year honors, Drake ran for 1,610 yards and 18 touchdowns on 173 carries. He also caught 24 passes for 315 yards and five touchdowns and ran back 10 kickoffs for 355 yards and two more touchdowns.
