Here are two furry critters from Cobb County Animal Control who need a home and long for your affection.

If you wish to adopt either of these lovable pets, call 770-499-4136 or visit the shelter at 1060 Al Bishop Drive in Marietta. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, it is open from 2 to 5 p.m.

The $110 adoption fee includes:

  • Spaying/neutering
  • All vaccinations, including rabies
  • Deworming
  • Heartworm testing
  • Feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus testing for cats
  • A microchip

Through October, the shelter and 49 others are competing for grant money from a pool of $300,000 provided by American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Grant winners are based on adoption rates.

Those who are unable to adopt but still want to help can make donations in the form of dog and cat food, animal toys, sheets, blankets or treats.
