Man Robbed While Napping in Parking Lot
The 41-year-old Powder Springs resident was dozing at a Norcross Kroger when someone approached and demanded money.
A 41-year-old Powder Springs man was allegedly robbed with a supposed gun about 2:45 p.m. on May 11 while in his car in a Kroger parking lot outside of Norcross.
According to the police report, the man decided to take a nap in his vehicle before heading to his second job.
He was asleep at the Singleton Road business when an older-looking man approached his open window. The man asked him if he wanted to buy something, and the driver said he didn't have any money to spare.
The man outside the window then pulled out a brown paper bag from his pocket, poked it in the driver's left shoulder and demanded money.
The victim handed him $200 from his wallet, and the suspect got into the passenger's seat of a tagless, green Toyota Camry driven by a woman. She drove off onto Thompson Parkway.
The victim told police he had seen them 15 minutes prior when they were at QuikTrip across the street. The passenger started some small talk with him, asking about the victim's job and how much money he's able to make.
He described the passenger as being a black male around 5'8", 185 to 200 pounds, and between 55 to 60 years old. He had short hair and was balding on top, and was wearing a white tank top and blue pants or shorts.
The woman was black and appeared to be around the same height and 170 to 180 pounds.
