New Antique Mall Opens Today

Treasure Hunt is located in the former Fred’s store in West Cobb Plaza at the intersection of New Macland and Macedonia roads.

It's officially time to go antiquing, West Cobb.

Treasure Hunt Antique Mall will open its doors to customers for the first time today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will then proceed with its regular hours: Monday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.

Owners Sheila and Jim Conway are continuing to sign up vendors. The 27,500-square-foot mall has current space for 250, with a warehouse that will allow for expansion.

It's located in the former Fred’s store in West Cobb Plaza at the intersection of New Macland and Macedonia roads. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place sometime in July.

Those interested in being a vendor of the mall should call 678-398-9195, while those looking to lease an ajoining vacant spot at West Cobb Plaza should call 770-591-0078.

I must say I was quite skeptical about the new antique mall, given the fact that it was tried once before many years ago and it was actually nothing more than a flea market. However, after my visit there this morning, I was really impressed with the quality of the merchandise. Although there's many square feet yet to be filled, I know I will be back many times. I actually made a purchase today and have a few more things in my sights. Congrats to the owners. You are doing a great job!

I went today for the first time and was in awe. Great items and great prices. Organized and the staff was very pleasant. More vendors are coming in and once word gets out how great this place is, no doubt business will be booming for them. Going back tomorrow for a couple things I had my eye on today.
