Open Line: Can Braves Battle Back?

Atlanta hasn't taken a division title since the streak ended with the 2005 season. Will the guys win one last one for Chipper?

Since the Braves' run of 14 straight division titles ended after the 2005 season, Atlanta fans have wavered in their support, stemming from a less-consistent roster, as well as, of course, no more titles.

This season, the Bravos (29-25) haven't dug that deep of a hole for themselves, sitting only two games back from first after defeating the division-leading Nationals 3-2 on Sunday.

Two key players are out with injuries: Chipper (left calf) might return June 8 to continue his farewell season, and Brian McCann (bruised knee) could come back June 5.
