The new Silver Comet Trail pedestrian bridge at the intersection of Old Lost Mountain Road and Richard D. Sailors Parkway in Powder Springs is now open to the public.

The bridge was designed and engineered by Croy Engineering, and was built to improve overall trail safety. Also, the bridge has improved the traffic flow at the intersection where people once crossed the road.

The bridge was started in September 2010 and Tuesday was its grand opening. Check out the photo gallery for the ribbon cutting with Mayor Pat Vaughn.
