Photos: Powder Springs Celebrates Independence Day
What seemed like several thousand people converged on the heart of the city Wednesday for food, live music, fireworks and other fun activities.
What appeared like several thousand people came out for Powder Springs' 17th annual Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday.
Light rain did put a damper on things in the beginning. But the storm moved on by early evening, clearing things up for food, live music, children's activities and, of course, fireworks.
You can see a video of this year's fireworks show here, and a video from last year's celebration here.
Whether you attended the event or stayed at home, we want to see how you celebrated the country's independence. Submit your own photos or videos to michael.stone@patch.com for publication.

I enjoyed the fireworks and the festivities :) I did not enjoy all the people smoking !!! This is a family event and I wish Powder Springs would ban smoking at events like this or have an area just for smokers. Too many children getting exposed to second hand smoke!!
