School Board Recognizes Local Standouts

Hillgrove High senior Anny Dao is one of the students recognized at Thursday night's board meeting for having artwork featured in the district's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Dao's art teacher is Jennie Collier-Johnston.

The Cobb County Board of Education always takes time at the start of its regular monthly meetings to recognize people in the school system who have notable achievements. During its meeting Thursday night, those honored included Powder Springs Elementary teacher Janice Belcher, Hillgrove High senior Amy Dao and Austell Intermediate's Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team.
