Here's the scoop on some upcoming December activities in the Springs.
How Far to Bethlehem?
- What: Lithia Springs United Methodist is set to host a free drive-through depiction of the birth of Christ. It will include paintings, hundreds of actors in costumes, narration, music, luminaries, and live animals.
- When: Dec. 2-4, 7 to 9 p.m.

Country Walk Mistletoe Market (canceled)
- What: The market, which was scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3, has been canceled.
Jingles and Jamies Brunch with Santa
- What: Enjoy brunch, make a gingerbread house, and be entertained with a performance of "All Through the Houze." Participants are encouraged to wear their pajamas.
- When: Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon

Powder Springs Christmas Tree Lighting
- What: Besides the lighting of the Christmas tree, other activities include live entertainment, carriage rides, photos with Santa, and free hot chocolate.
- When: Saturday, Dec. 3 from 5 to 9 p.m.
- Where: The town square in downtown Powder Springs
Christmas Storytelling
- What: Every year, the Seven Springs Historical Society hosts a storytelling event. This year's orator is John Hogue.
- When: Sunday, Dec. 4 from 2 to 5 p.m.
- Where: The Coach Ford Center
City Council Meeting
- What: The Powder Springs City Council is set to hold its last legislative meeting of the year.
- When: Monday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.
- Where: Community Development building downtown
Cafe Noel
- What: The Powder Springs First United Methodist Church is set to host two Christmas musical variety shows in cafe settings. Proceeds will benefit CAMP (Christian Aid Mission Partnership).
- When: Saturday, Dec. 10 at 5 and 7:30 p.m.
- Where: The Coach Ford Center
- Cost: $15 in advance, $20 at the door; whole tables with eight seats are available for $100. Purchase tickets here.
Last Powder Springs Business Association Meeting
- What: The PSBA is set to merge with the South Cobb Business Association at the first of the year, so members will be holding their last meeting in December. It will be a holiday program featuring Tapp Middle's chorus.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 13, starting at 11:30 a.m.
- Where: The Coach Ford Center's Reception Hall
- Cost: $15 for guests; $10 for members
