Organizers of the fifth annual Taste of West Cobb said ideal weather played a major role in the large turnout Saturday, which appeared to surpass 2011's attendance of nearly 8,000.
Moving to The Avenue West Cobb on Dallas Highway this year, Taste featured food from many local restaurants, vendors, live music, raffle drawings, and family-oriented activities such as face painting. Proceeds go to Hillgrove High's music programs.
The school's NJROTC students handled traffic and security.
