Travolta, De Niro Shooting Movie in Lithia Springs

Filming for "Killing Season" began at Sweetwater Creek today, and the stars will remain in Douglas through Feb. 13, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

John Travolta and Robert De Niro are filming for the movie Killing Season at Sweetwater Creek State Park today and will continue shooting in Douglas County through Feb. 13, the Atlanta Business Chronicle reports.

Scenes from the movie have been filmed in two other Georgia parks, the Chronicle says.

Internal Movie Database says the movie "tells the story of two veterans of the Bosnian War, one American, one Serbian, who clash in the remote Rocky Mountain wilderness." The website puts the movie's release in 2014.

I will admit that I have never been to Sweetwater Creek, but does it look like the Rocky Mountain wilderness?

That's a good question, Pam. I'm sure with today's digital technology today, they might as well be shooting in the desert.

Sweetwater Creek has an Appalachian Mountain look to it. Business Chronicle got the backdrop of the movie wrong. It's set to have a back woods remote Carolina Appalachian look.to it.
