Virginia Nash Dies at 78

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.

 

Virginia G. Nash, 78, of Powder Springs, passed away on Monday.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, with Rev. George Wannamaker and Rev. Rusty Womack officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park.

Born in Breman, GA, Mrs. Nash lived in Cobb County for most of her life. She graduated from Osborne High School, and retired from D.A. Collins Refractories after 30 years of employment.

She was a member of the Austell Chapter 314, Order of the Eastern Star, where she enjoyed volunteering as a clown with the Artists of Happiness Club. She was also a member of Lost Mountain Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Thomas Roy Nash of Powder Springs; two children, Perry Alan Nash and wife Karen of Dallas, and Joy Nash of Alpharetta; brother James Ray Guice Jr. of Hampton, GA; and two grandchildren, Joseph Alan Nash and Jared Avery Nash.
