Notice a different banner across the homepage when you logged onto Patch this morning?

We've switched from Powder Springs-Lithia Springs Patch to West Cobb Patch for a very simple reason: to create a more defined online gathering place for both the Douglas County and West Cobb communities.

Now, those living in Lithia Springs will know to join the rest of Douglas County on Douglasville Patch. And now those living in the unincorporated areas around Powder Springs—mainly north toward Acworth and Kennesaw, and northeast toward Marietta—will know to visit this site.

It's really that simple. No need to even worry about a new URL, as both powdersprings.patch.com and westcobb.patch.com will bring you here.

Powder Springs, nothing is changing as far as our coverage of the city. Lithia Springs, we'll miss you and hope you enjoy your new home on Douglasville Patch.
