Antique Mall Coming to Powder Springs

Yeah! A new antique mall is coming our area!

The new antique words together make it confusing, at least to me. I stopped at my favorite spot to buy drugs in Powder Springs, the CVS store on New Macland and Macedonia Roads and saw some new signage on the old Winn Dixie for the Treasure Hunt Antique Mall.

They also have a big sign in the window for dealers wanted. Good to see something open in the abandoned store. I hope it is a sign the things will be getting better in our little town.

There was a Winn Dixie over there? Really? I thought that was Warehouse Groceries.

I hope this comes true..I wish it would be similiar to the classy flea in Marietta, that place is awesome, and this could be too, IF Powder Springs Police will show their self to keep people from getting their purses picked off their shoulder and etc...People need to HEAR that they can shop in P.S. without the fear of being mugged or robbed, until we STOP the crime and people feeling nervous about their safety, it will not be successful!! I sincerely hope we do get something nice and something that many folks will come and shop and feel safe!!! We have too many empty buildings and etc. in this town...its time to turn it all around!

It is true......my husband and I are opening an antique mall in the old grocery store space in West Cobb Plaza. Melinda, it will be similar to Classy Flea in Marietta - only larger. We are currently leasing shops to antique dealers and plan on a late May opening. As for security, we have installed a 16 camera system in the store with cameras outside the front and back of the store. The police have been great to patrol around our building.......frequently sitting for short periods of time in the parking lot which is wonderful. We are also getting calls about the empty spaces and are ready to lease those to other tenants. With all of the activity, we are confident that our customers and dealers will be safe. Please come to see us once we are open. We are so excited to be reviving WCP with a fun atmosphere in our store Treasure Hunt Antique Mall.

Sounds like a great place, Sheila. I'd love to do a story on it, if you'd be OK with that. If so, email me at michael.stone@patch.com.
