Most of us have excellent stories floating around in our heads, and the gazillion books published per month prove that not all the stories are written.
My first novel, Fetching Jonas Blake, was released in January, and I am often asked the question, "How in the world did you manage to actually write a book?"
Not that my experience or advice is in any way better than the hundreds of really successful authors out there, but I'm going to write a weekly blog with the aim of answering that question.
I won't deal with the nuts and bolts of good writing (see Stephen King's On Writing for that), but will discuss time management, staying focused, good stories, publishing options, and most importantly, staying true to your story.
Stay tuned: first post, "In Which You Have a Fantastic Idea" goes up tomorrow.
Happy Writing!
