The Hive is set to open June 25 on the second floor of the Powder Springs Florist. What is The Hive? Part den, part seminar center, and all fun. The Hive will serve as the headquarters for the programs and confabs of local author and Patch contributor Lauretta Hannon, Powder Springs' favorite funny girl. What's happening in downtown Powder Springs? Lily Torte Baking Co.: First off, the secret is out! We are getting cupcakes. The opening date is yet to be announced, but the restaurant at 4469 Marietta St., last know as S2 Seafood Soiree, is being turning into Lily Torte Baking Company. Oh, and my the cupcakes are divine!  This duo of cupcake divas stopped in and let us merchants sample their wares. We have a new traffic light (for all you southerners, a new red light) and it is a welcomed addition to the area.
