Ahmadi-Muslims Explain Muhammad's Advent in the Bible

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, who follow the teachings of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, clarify the historical references and metaphors in the bible, which fortell the Advent of Muhammad's prophethood.

On Saturday, April 14th, at Baitul Baqi mosque in Norcross, the meeting began with congregational prayers followed by a recitation from the Quran by Mr. Anwar.

Mr. Arif Ahmad spoke on brotherhood in religion as a “merciful, loving, sharing, brotherhood where all brothers are equal.” He further elaborated that the ancestors of all human beings were one, according to Islam.

Rather than judge people by their worldly means or personal qualities, the Creator would prefer us to judge each other by our level of righteousness. And, he reminded us, “Whoever relieves someone in a calamity will be relieved on the Day of Judgment.”

The President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Georgia Chapter, Mr. Hazeem Pudhiapura, spoke of the evidence of Muhammad in the Bible.

One example quoted was from the Gospel of John. Jesus states “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter that he may abide with you forever.” (14:16).

Genesis 17:20 refers to Muhammad (peace and blessings be on
him while in Mathew 21:43, it states that “the kingdom of God will go to the brethren of the Israelites.” Who are the brethren of the Israelites?  The Arabs are the brothers of the Jews, through Ishmael and Isaac, so God is telling us that the “kingdom of God” will go to the Arabs, which is to say Islam.

Deuteronomy 33:2 states “And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.”

The “Lord manifests on Mount Paran,” refers to the miracle of Hagar and Ishmael, because “paran” means “two refugees” and Mount Paran is in Saudi Arabia. As you may remember, Abraham left Hagar and Ishmael in the desert and they are the progenitors of the Muslim side of the family of Abraham.

In addition, “He came with 10,000 saints,” refers to Muhammad when he entered the city of Mecca with 10,000 Muslims to do their first Hajj. Since Muhammad taught Muslims to use their right hand to eat with, this passage refers to Muhammad. A “fiery law” means spiritual enlightenment. The “law” means that this prophet will bring a new book, which is the Holy Quran.

Moses was a law-bearing prophet while Jesus was not a law bearing prophet. Therefore, he is warning his people that they should follow the next law bearing prophet—Muhammad.

Acts states, 3:20-22, “that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord and so that he may send you Jesus, whom he appointed long ago to be the Messiah.” Muhammad is to come before the Second Advent of Jesus and the only claim which falls in this time period is Muhammad, pbuh.

In addition, the Quran states that we must believe in all the prophets. ”Say ye: [God instructs us] We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob and his children, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no difference between any of them; and to Him we submit ourselves.” (2:137)

Guests at the event included Ms. Cynthia and Mr. Gary Cook who are both members of an interfaith group who meet with people of like-minds who enjoy exploring different faiths. Ms. Cynthia explained that she wanted to join an interfaith online, but when she discovered that there was no such thing, she decided to create one herself.

After the speeches, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community held congregational prayers, which was followed by dinner. The guests enjoyed chicken tikka, brown rice, roti, salad and sweet rice for dessert. After dinner, the congregation did their evening prayers.
