·      The band should be snug and create a parallel line around the body. If the band rises up in the back, creating an arch, it may be too loose. If it sits too low, the band may be too tight.

·      The underwire should lie flat against the ribcage and away from sensitive breast tissue. If any part of the breast is being poked or is spilling out, this is a sign that the cup is too small.

·      The straps should provide some support without digging into the shoulders. If the straps are holding too much weight, it may cause back pain.
