11 Alive’s Next Stop: Powder Springs

Powder Springs will serve as the eighth stop on the "This Is Home" tour.

Fifteen minutes of fame? Try two hours of fame, Powder Springs.

The 11Alive morning team will broadcast from Powder Springs on Friday as part of its "This Is Home" summer hometown tour. From 5 to 7 a.m. that day, Karyn Greer, Ted Hall and Chesley McNeil will broadcast live from Old Towne Square, the Shoppes at Town Square, at 4485 North Town Square.

“We do hope that Powder Springs will be well represented and can come and spend the morning with us!” officials from the NBC affiliate write. “We ask you to invite your friends and families, clubs, organizations and more to come and be a part of the live broadcast as well.”

Powder Springs city leaders are also inviting the public to attend and participate in the live broadcast.

Powder Springs is the eighth stop on the news station’s "This Is Home" tour. The 11Alive crew visited Dallas last month and nearby Douglasville last week. The station is scheduled to visit Marietta on July 26.
