13th Annual Fall Festival of Fun
Where: Cobb Safety Village, 1220 Al Bishop Drive SW, Marietta
When: 4-7 p.m.
What: This event will provide the children of Cobb County a safe alternative to the traditional Trick-or-Treat. The festival will include arts and crafts, games, inflatable rides, police and fire activities, costume and coloring contests, a photo booth and other surprises. Parking, entrance to the park, games, candy and contests are free (there is a fee for concessions and inflatable rides). Come wearing your Halloween costume and be sure to bring a bag to carry all of your candy.
Trunk or Treat at Goddard School
Where: 3190 Blue Springs Road NW, Kennesaw
When: 5-6:30 p.m.
What: We will be hosting a trunk or treat in our parking lot. Come join our families for a fun evening. Children can move freely from one exhibit to the other, collecting treats and goodies. It will be a feast for the eye to see Spiderman, princesses, pumpkins, lady bugs and so many more little characters walking around. Please call 770-975-7555 in advance and let us know that your family will be attending so that we can plan for treats for all the children.
Halloween Geek Trivia
Where: Battle & Brew, 279 Powers Ferry Road SE, Marietta
When: 8:30 p.m.
What: Halloween falls on the bar's Trivia Night this year. While trivia isn't Halloween themed, there will be a few Halloween questions. Wear your favorite costume and get ready for some free candy and fun.
Where: Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, 5145 Due West Road, Powder Springs
When: 6-8 p.m.
What: This family event will have inflatables, games, food, a cake walk, and lots and lots of candy.
Where: Life Church Smyrna Assembly of God, 4100 King Springs Road SE, Smyrna
When: 5:30-8 p.m.
What: Free games, inflatables, pony rides, food, cake-walk, costume contests, health screenings and more. Enter your name in the drawing for a new bicycle or gift basket.
11th Annual Spring Hill Vinings Halloween Parade
Where: 2110 Spring Hill Court SE, Smyrna
When: 5:45 p.m.
What: A Cobb County fire engine will be there for the kids. A parade will go up Spring Hill Court, down Spring Hill Road, and into the Vinings Gate subdivision. All ages are invited to participate, or just come out and watch. Dress in your Halloween costume. We’ll have decorations for wagons and strollers.
Trunk or Treat
Where: Vinings United Methodist Church, 3101 Paces Mill Road SE, Atlanta
When: 6 p.m.
What: Vinings UMC is hosting Trunk or Treat, a free drive-in style trick-or-treat experience. Children will trick-or-trick from the trunks of decorated cars filled with candy. There will be food, games and prizes. Best costume prize is at 7:30 p.m. Top off the night by having some hot chili with all the fixings.
The Rocky Horror Show
Where: 11 Anderson Street SE, Marietta
When: 8 p.m.
What: The musical that became a movie and started a 35-year nonstop cultural phenomenon is back. A sexy, wild, funny, tongue-in-cheek interactive time warp through a kaleidoscope of camp with a musical score that has become iconic—one show-stopper after another. Strange things happen when Brad and Janet, a clean-cut young couple from the suburbs, get caught with a flat tire in the middle of nowhere. After an incredible night at the Frankenstein place, they learn a little bit about themselves and the world. For mature audiences only. For actor safety, no outside props will be allowed. 'Goodie Bags' with approved props will be available for purchase at the door for $2 each.
