Marietta Transfer Center Gets Vehicle Charging Stations
They will promote Cobb Community Transit ridership from electric vehicle commuters.
By Rodney Thrash
Eight electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at Cobb Community Transit locations in Marietta and Kennesaw to promote CCT ridership from electric vehicle commuters.
Four stations each were installed at the Marietta Transfer Center and the Busbee Park and Ride as part of a U.S. Department of Energy-funded program called the EV Project, according to a statement on CCT's website.
About 14,000 commercial and residential charging stations will be installed in 18 major cities in six states through the EV Project.
The stations in Marietta and Kennesaw recharge electric vehicle batteries in two to six hours, according to the statement.
