2. HOT ROD WALT and the PSYCHO DEVILLES (band)
Where/When: at 6682 Broad Street in Douglasville, Saturday starting between 8:30 and 9 p.m.
Why Go: They sing songs about hot rod cars and mean women. Need we say more? There will also be a DJ at the pub on Friday starting at 9 p.m.
Pricing: $5 for band, $3 for DJ
3. SIX FLAGS GRAND OPENING WEEKEND
Where/When: 275 Riverside Parkway Southwest in Austell; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Why Go: It's roller coaster season in the Peach State! Six Flags Over Georgia is offering special deals with its season opening on Saturday. Instead of $49.99 for each adult ticket, $20.11 tickets will be available to each person who donates six canned goods for MUST Ministries. Expired or dented canned goods will not be accepted.

4. A SOLO ACOUSTIC EVENING with BRYAN ADAMS
Where/When: Atlanta Symphony Hall at 1280 Peachtree Street Northeast in Atlanta, Friday at 8 p.m.
Why Go: The rock legend will be playing songs from his new album, Bare Bones, an acoustic compilation of some of his biggest songs.

Why Go: One of the few bars in the Powder Springs-Lithia Springs area, J.R. Crickets never disappoints.
