Teen's Law Guide Author to Speak at Lithia Springs High

Plus, the Douglas County Board of Commissioners chairman is ready to talk to you about anything on your mind.

1. The Cobb Board of Elections and Registration meets to decide whether to certify the vote approving the Cobb SPLOST at 8 a.m. Monday at 736 Whitlock Ave. in west Marietta.

2. Chat one-on-one with Douglas County Commission Chairman Tom Worthan on Monday at Fire Station No. 3 on Kilroy Lane in the Bill Arp community from 6 to 7 p.m. No reservations needed; talk with Worthan on any topic you wish to discuss. 3. J. Tom Morgan, children's advocate and author of Ignorance Is No Defense: A Teenager's Guide to Georgia Law, will speak to parents and members of the community Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. The first 100 families who sign in will receive a free copy of the former district attorney's book.
