Five Harrison High Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

The five students are now up for 8,000 National Merit Scholarships that will be offered this coming spring.

Five West Cobb students were recently named semifinalists for National Merit Scholarships. All five are from Harrison High School.

The five are among 60 students in the Cobb County School district named semifinalists. According to a release issued Wednesday by the district, the seniors "now have an opportunity to compete for more than 8,000 National Merit Scholarships that will be offered in Spring 2014."

Harrison's honorees were Kevin T. Beteta, Robert T. Jordan, Cara D. Kirby, Caroline C. Surratt and Katelin M. Woods.
