Book Worm to Start Book Clubs

The different groups will take on general fiction, mystery, horror and food.

I think one of the best things about book clubs (beside the books, obviously) is the sense of community they engender. There's nothing like dissecting complex story lines and discussing character arcs with a group of people.

To help foster that sense of community and literary like-mindedness, the Book Worm will be re-launching its book groups this summer. Here's a look at the groups we have in the works:

Novel Ideas: A General Fiction group

Led by Arleigh.

Those of you who crave a well-crafted story with rich characters and a plot that pulls you in and leaves you aching to turn each page, this is your group.

Bloody Bones:Β A Mystery Group

Led by Susan.

For those readers who like a good "who-dun-it?" Those sometimes funny, sometimes romantic, sometimes suspenseful but always entertaining reads are what you'll find here.

Braaaaains...Book Meat:Β A Horror Group

Led by Rhonda.

We're not talking Stephen King, here. This is a group for lovers of dystopian literature. Whether "The End" is brought about by Zombies, Vampires, Pandemics or the dark lord Cthulhu, himself, we've got you covered.

Tasteful:Β A Food Lover's Group

Led by Leah.

For the gourmand next door; cook your way through beautiful books filled with recipes and photography as well as food memoirs. Meet to discuss your experiences in the kitchen, share insights and, of course, eat!
