Marketing, Magic Meet at Ford Center
The Powder Springs Business Association welcomed speaker and entertainer Joe M. Turner to its monthly luncheon on Tuesday.
When thinking of someone who can deliver speeches on marketing, Joe M. Turner admits that magicians don't typically pop up in people's minds.
But Turner, a speaker, entertainer and owner of Turner Magic Entertainment, is invited by organizations from all over to speak on the topic. Turner spoke for the third time at a Powder Springs Business Association monthly luncheon on Tuesday.
Using entertainment as an attention grabber, Turner applies modern marketing and small business strategies to his craft.

While performing illusions, Turner is able to convey underlying messages or advice for business professionals. For example, during a card illusion, Turner asked an attendee to pick a specific card, which he then later revealed from a deck. He explained that focusing on a single card is a metaphor for narrowing one's goals in terms of business planning.
Business Association President Tom Hatch said anyone is welcome to attend a lunch meeting and listen to monthly speakers, like Turner. Guests pay $15 while members pay $10.
