One Jackpot Still Growing After Weekend Drawings

A single ticket matched all the numbers for a $130 million jackpot on Saturday, but Georgia Lottery players this week have an even bigger prize to chase.

Someone who bought a lottery ticket in New York last week will soon be a multimillionaire, but lottery players in Georgia this week still have the chance to claim a big prize of their own.

That one ticket sold in the Empire State matched all the numbers in Saturday’s Powerball drawing: 10, 29, 37, 44, 59 and Powerball 10. For matching those six numbers, the ticket’s owner will be able to bring home a nine-digit jackpot—$130,000,000, to be exact.

The Powerball jackpot now resets, and those who take part in the next drawing on Wednesday will be chasing a $40 million top prize.

But another jackpot went unclaimed over the weekend, as no one matched the numbers drawn in Friday’s Mega Millions game. The jackpot that eluded players Friday was $149 million; as of Monday afternoon, the prize for Tuesday’s drawing had grown to an estimated $165 million.
