Tune up your guitar, warm up your vocal cords, and put on your dancing shoes.
Open Mic Night is back at the —holiday style.
Like all businesses, the coffee shop is going through some hard economic times. The shop is one of those places you love to go to but take for granted by not going often. Here's a chance to show it some support.
You can participate in the Open Mic Night on Friday, Dec. 16, by showing off most any talent you have: singing, playing instruments, reading poetry, dancing, etc. All ages are welcome.
The attached video is from April's Open Mic Night.
If you’re interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org and provide your name, talent and contact number. Holiday-themed acts are encouraged but not required. Please keep it clean.
Though there isn’t necessarily a winner, everyone there will get a ticket to pick the favorite act of the night. The act with the most votes receives a $100 gift card, so don't forget to invite your family and friends.
Each ticket also will enter you into a drawing for a special prize.
Admission is free; food and drink purchases are encouraged. The crew will serve up enticing coffees, teas and assorted other drinks all evening.
Patch is sponsoring the event, and we’ll be there—loud and proud—supporting one of our favorite hangouts.
Show Joan and Larry Evans some love for their Powder Springs Coffee and Bake Shoppe, and let's hope they serve delicious coffee for years to come.
