Video: Boutique for Body, Hair Opens in Downtown Powder Springs

Lysandra Taylor had operated her business, Darcy's Botanicals, from home for nearly four years before moving into the heart of the city.

All the hair and body products featured at Darcy's Botanicals—the conditioners, the perfumes, the body oils, the bath salts—are handmade by Lysandra Taylor.

The Powder Springs resident of 17 years ran the business from her home for nearly four of those years before deciding she wanted a brick-and-mortar shop. Early last month, she held the grand opening for her new location on Marietta Street downtown in the former Powder Springs Coffee and Bake Shoppe spot.

The store was previewed by Patch in May. Taylor, 42, named it after her 10-year-old daughter Darcy, a student at Kemp Elementary.
