Chinese Noodles, a New Art Studio and A Repeat

Here's everything you need to know today, June 3.

1) We all know what it's like; cutting back here, tightening the budget there. In today's economy, any advice on how to save without the pain is a blessing.

Enter Ellie Byrd and "Eating Ramen" and Saturday's book signing from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Book Worm in Powder Springs. There may even be a side of Chinese noodles.

Eating Ramen is the title of the newly published book by Forum Sherpa CEO, Ellie Byrd. A collection of frugal financial wisdom interwoven with an inspiring story of survival, "Eating Ramen" can help anyone from a college student to a CEO weather today’s financial storms.

The Book Worm Bookstore is located at 4451 Marietta St.

2) The Cobb County Board of Education is expected to meet at 3 p.m. Sunday to officially approve the hiring of as the district's 16th superintendent. The special-called meeting is expected to be televised.

3) Studio 4 the Arts in Powder Springs is having its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

It is a brand-new, performing arts studio offering classes in dance, theatre, music and voice. The grand opening event will feature live music demonstrations and free dance classes open to the public. Summer camp and fall class registration will be open and local vendors and additional studio information will available at the event.

The studio is located at 3210 Hopeland Industrial Blvd Ste 600, Powder Springs.

4) This weekend's weather will be a repeat of what it's been all week, with a slight chance of thunderstorms Sunday night, according to the National Weather Service.
