Answer: Two. Army Ranger Sergeant First Class Leroy Arthur Petry received his on Monday from President Obama. From Yahoo! News: "Wounded and under enemy fire (in Afghanistan in 2008), Petry saved two fellow soldiers by tossing away an enemy grenade that landed near them, losing his own right hand in the process." Nine soldiers have received the Medal of Honor for service in Iraq or Afghanistan, but only Petry and Staff Sgt. Salvatore Giunta lived through combat, Yahoo! reports.
