Marching Lions To Host Fundraiser

Skies are predicted to be clear for the event on Saturday, while chances for rain are forecasted for earlier in the week.

1. Powder Springs City Council. The City Council is set to meet Monday at 7 p.m. at the office. The majority of the agenda is comprised of ordinance variances.

2. Douglas County Board of Commissioners. The board is scheduled to meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive in Douglasville. The meeting's agenda is attached to this article. 

3. Weather. The forecast from the National Weather Service shows on-and-off chances for rain ending on Wednesday morning.

5. Marching Lions Fundraiser. 's marching band is scheduled to host a fair and yard sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the school. Interested vendors can contact Ann Dugan at 404-304-8926 or LSMarchingLions@yahoo.com. Proceeds will go toward new band uniforms, which have by roughly five years.
