Police Chief Candidates Describe Experience

Tom Arnold, Jeffery Pearce and Charlie Sewell submitted columns to Patch telling about their careers in law enforcement.

1. Correction. A  that included Powder Springs Senior Center member Estie Norris receiving an award misstated her age. It said she recently turned 96; her 96th birthday isn't until June 18.

4. Free Movie. "Despicable Me" (PG) will be shown for free on O'Neal Plaza in downtown Douglasville between West Broad and Church Streets. Before the movie, there will be pre-show contests and entertainment. Moviegoers are advised to bring their own seating and snacks.

No alcoholic beverages will be allowed. This event is sponsored by the Douglasville Convention and Visitors Bureau. This movie will be offered with closed captions.
