Rain Moves Out Tuesday, Warmer Temps Moving In

With a 20 percent chance of showers Tuesday, mostly sunny skies on tap in West Cobb.

After a weekend filled with flood warnings and event cancellations, West Cobb will start to see some relief from the rain on Tuesday, with mostly sunny skies predicted to move in on Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service's Cartersville forecast, showers are likely to continue Monday, with a high near 61. New rainfall amounts will total a 10th to 1/4th inch, with amounts higher in thunderstorms.

A flood warning continues as more rain will exacerbate high rivers and creeks.

A hazardous weather outlook continues for North and Central Georgia, including West Cobb, Monday and Monday night as rain will continue into Tuesday.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a 20 percent chance of rain and a high of 69.

Things get better on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies, a 20 percent chance of rain and highs near 77. And on Thursday, the highs will reach 80 with mostly sunny skies.

The upcoming weekend should be somewhat of an improvement over this past weekend, with a 40 percent chance of rain and temperatures in the mid- to high- 70s.
