Severe Storm Watch Expires for Cobb, Remains for Douglas

Chances for thunderstorms are also predicted for Friday and Saturday.

The National Weather Service lifted the severe thunderstorm watch for Cobb and several other Georgia counties at 7 p.m., but the watch will remain in effect for Douglas and other counties until 11 p.m.

The primary hazard from the storm is damaging wind, the Weather Service says. Large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible.

Chances for thunderstorms are also forecasted for Friday and Saturday, as well as Wednesday of next week.
