Storms Expected for North, Central Georgia

Tonight, scattered thunderstorms are predicted to move across portions of North and Central Georgia, including Cobb and Douglas counties.

A few severe thunderstorms can be expected, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm brings possibilities for lightning, strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rain, the Weather Service says.

The storms could continue “well into the evening Saturday and potentially even into the early morning hours Sunday,” the Weather Service says.

Chances for thunderstorms will continue through Friday.
