Storms Expected for North, Central Georgia

Chances for thunderstorms are predicted to continue through Friday.

Tonight, scattered thunderstorms are predicted to move across portions of North and Central Georgia, including Cobb and Douglas counties.

A few severe thunderstorms can be expected, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm brings possibilities for lightning, strong wind gusts, hail and heavy rain, the Weather Service says.

The storms could continue β€œwell into the evening Saturday and potentially even into the early morning hours Sunday,” the Weather Service says.
