Suspect in Triple Shooting Arrested in Powder Springs

An elderly woman was killed.

Twenty-four hours after three shooting victims were found at a home in central Georgia, federal agents early Sunday arrested the suspect in Powder Springs.

Timothy Chambley, who has relatives in Powder Springs, was wanted in connection with a kidnapping and shooting that left an elderly woman dead and two others critically wounded, Meriwether County Sheriff Chuck Smith told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Sheriff's deputies and Woodbury police officers were called to a house on Williamson Circle just after midnight on Saturday morning where they found the three bodies. A 6-year-old and the dead woman’s 1998 Pontiac Grand Am were gone.
