Underwater Easter Egg Hunt Set for Saturday

The event could be a fun way to finish Spring Break.

1. City Council meeting. The Powder Springs City Council is scheduled to meet Monday at 7 p.m. at the . 

2. Douglas County Commission. The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is set to have a work session at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive in Douglasville, followed by Tuesday's agenda meeting, same time and location. The meetings' agenda is attached to this article. 

3. Weather. The forecast from the National Weather Service shows chances for rain Monday and early Tuesday, followed by clear skies the rest of the week.

4. No school. Cobb and Douglas County schools will be on Spring Break this week. 

5. Underwater Easter egg hunt. Children ages 7 to 12 who can swim will be searching for eggs on Saturday at the Boundary Waters Aquatic Center at 5000 Highway 92 North in Douglasville at 1 and 3 p.m. The cost is $2 per child, and since space is limited, advanced registration is preferred. For more information, contact Jim Gay at 770-489-2175 or jgay@co.douglas.ga.us.
