Week's High Temps Mostly in 60s

1. School calendar survey: The Cobb County Board of Education is asking citizens to give their input on the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school calendars. The board to launch the online survey Friday. 2. Douglas Commission meeting: The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is scheduled to have a legislative meeting Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Douglas County Courthouse at 8700 Hospital Drive in Douglasville. The board will have a work session on Monday at 10 a.m. at the courthouse to discuss the meeting’s agenda.  

3. Weather: The National Weather Service has the word “sunny” in the forecast every day this week, with high temperatures mostly hanging around the 60s.

• Saturday—Mostly sunny. High: 67

4. Book signing: Homer Sewell, author of the biography Image in the Mirror: A Man's Personal Life Journey Whilst Portraying Abe Lincoln, will be at the on Saturday from 12 to 2 p.m.

5. Cobb zoning: The Cobb County Board of Commissioners is set to have a zoning hearing at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at 100 Cherokee Street in Marietta.
