To Flu or Not To Flu (Vaccine That Is)

My girls and I were recently administered the flu vaccine. Painless. Simple. Quick.

Do you remember a couple years ago there was a big to-do about nothing? My husband and I said, "Nope, the girls wouldn't get vaccinated." Then we changed our minds and said, "What's the harm?"

Well depending on where you looked or listened for the harm, there was plenty. We've since decided that the girls would have the flu vaccine administered, and if they are to take it, we would lead by example.

I must admit I waffled and lost a little sleep over the decision because of all the hype over the injection. I remember Googling so many different schools of thought that I got tired and was even more confused.

That was two years ago, and I haven't thought differently since committing to getting the vaccine yearly. In the end, the predictions of massive outbreaks was just that—predictions. I haven't lost a toe or any sight, and the girls seem perfectly fine.
