Ann Heck Passes Away at 92

A graveside service for the Powder Springs resident was held Monday.

Ann Heck, a 92-year-old Powder Springs resident, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, according to her obituary from the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory.

A graveside service was held in Mableton on Monday.

Ann spent her life in Arizona, where she met her husband, Bob. She was a homemaker and Bob worked for the Glendale (AZ) Police Department and then the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office for more 25 years, ending his career as a major.

They retired to Arizona's Tonto Basin, where they enjoyed fishing, raising their donkey Captain, and square dancing. Bob passed away in 1993.

In 2001, Ann and her beloved dog, Adam, moved to Phoenix. Last October, Ann moved to Georgia to live with one of her grandsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Brannan of Prescott, AZ; her three grandsons: Doug Brannan and Scott Brannan of Prescott, AZ, and Tim Brannan of Powder Springs.

"Ann was a sweet, lovely lady and will be missed by many people who loved her dearly," her obituary reads.
